About Us

In 1964, Sid Blandford and Tom Burke founded B&B Excavating in Denver, CO with one backhoe. Realizing the resort potential in the mountains, the company relocated to Vail and opened their first gravel pit in the early 70′s. B&B Excavating has grown over the years along with the resort communities. What sets B&B Excavating apart from other heavy construction contractors in the region is the company’s ability to build turnkey infrastructure while at the same time supplying the highest quality asphalt, concrete and aggregate to projects. Projects and customers are located in Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, Summit and Grand Counties. B&B Excavating joined Oldcastle’s Southwest group on June 8, 1999.
